It is only a matter of weeks until the mighty Slam Dunk festival is back for an early summer weekend of music and good times. It’ll be hitting Leeds Temple Newsam on Friday June 3rd and Hatfield Park on Saturday the 4th of June.
The bands will be split over three main stages with staggered times – so you don’t miss your favourite bands - as well as two smaller stages showcasing some more amazing acts.
First up – I can’t even put into words how excited I am for this stage as it includes Alexisonfire, Beartooth, The Used, The Amity Affliction, Electric Callboy, Casyette, Counterparts, Silverstein and Cancer Bats!
The Rock Scene stage will be headlined by Neckdeep and support from The Story So Far, Motion City Soundtrack, Knuckle Puck, The Wonder Years, Kenny Hoopla, Hot Milk, Meet Me @ The Altar and Beauty School.
On the Dickies Stage it’s a huge double headline with Sum41 and The Dropkick Murphys leading the bill with The Interrupters, Pennywise, Streetlight Manifesto, The Vandals, Hot Water Music, The Bronx and Suicide Machines supporting.
If you head on over to one of the smaller stages, you’re in for a treat with the likes of Deaf Havana, 3oh!3, Set It Off, Stand Atlantic, The summer Set, Mod Sun, With Confidence, Punk Rock Factory, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Yours Truly and Between You & Me.
And to round it all out is The Key Club Stage which has Nova Twins as the top billing band with Mom Jeans, Spanish Love Songs, The Flatliners, Hot Mulligan, Point North, Magnolia Park, LiL Lotus, As December Falls, Pinkshift, Bears In Trees, MC Lars, In Her Own Words, SMRTDEATH, DeathbyRomy and Casket warming up for them.
